2019 Hall of Fame Class
JALANA DAEGAR BELDING
Jalana is a 1997 Georgetown College graduate with a double major in psychology and
sociology.
She was a two-sport Tiger athlete, four years with volleyball and one with softball.
During Jalana’s career, volleyball made two national tournament appearances with a 158-47 record.
The Tigers were also 1996 MSC season and tournament champions. Her first three seasons the Tigers competed in the KIAC.
She also served as a resident advisor during her Georgetown days and was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.
Jalana is in her 23rd year as a probation officer and second year as St. Mary’s School Athletic Director.
She earned her masters in management and leadership, using both in her job and in her years as a coach. She coached volleyball (11 years), basketball (seven years) and track (seven years). She and husband Brian Belding have five kids, Avynn (12), Abrey (11), Aylah (10), Addex (9) and Acher (7).

KIM GRAHAM
Kim is a 1976 Georgetown College graduate with a Bachelor of Science in physical education with a minor in sociology.
He also received his Master of Arts in secondary education from Georgetown College.
In his four seasons on the gridiron for the Tigers, Kim rewrote the receiving record book, helping the team to a 23-14-1 record. In his final two seasons, GC was 13-6-1.
Until this past season when Ross Cox hauled in four touchdowns in a single game, Kim and several other Tigers were tied for the top spot with three.
He also served as PHA president during his time at Georgetown.
Following his collegiate days, Kim has served multiple institutions as associate, assistant or head athletic director. He currently is senior associate athletics director at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Other professional highlights include serving as NCAA FCS Athletics Director’s Association President and completing three ultra-marathons.
He is married to Andrea Graham with four children, Chad (35), Travis (32), Brie (30), and Cade (19).

TOM STEWART
Tom is a 1975 graduate of Georgetown College.
He helped to lead the men’s basketball team to an 84-32 record in his four seasons, dominating on the boards.
Tom set marks of excellence for rebounding with a second best in a single game, 30. He has three other games on the Georgetown College in-game superlative Top 10 list - 26, 25 and 23.
Tom played all four years for two legendary Georgetown College Hall of Fame coaches - Bob Davis and Jim Reid.
He was one of the staples for Reid’s first two seasons.
Teammate Van Phillips, a 2014 Georgetown College Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, said, “it was not uncommon to see Tom come up with 20 or more rebounds per game.”

JEFF WATTS
Jeff is a 1992 Georgetown College graduate receiving a Bachelor of Science in political science with minors in history and physical education.
He was part of the 1991 NAIA National Championship team, earning defensive player of the game in the finals.
The Tigers were 37-7-1 in his four seasons with three MSC conference titles.
He still holds top 10 spots in several season and career defensive statistical categories - sacks, tackles, tackles for loss, sacks for loss.
Following his playing days, Jeff remained in Georgetown where he is a teacher in Scott County.
He returned to his alma mater for graduate work and earned Dean’s list honors in that time.
Jeff and wife Mary Frances Watts met at Georgetown College. The couple has three children, Cooper (20), Berk (18) and Emily Sue (14).

KRISTIN BAMBERGER WILSON
Kristin is a 1999 Georgetown College graduate with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education and minor in psychology.
Georgetown women’s soccer team was in its infancy stages during Kristin’s four seasons. The Tigers posted 14 and 15 wins in two of the four seasons Kristin anchored the defense. GC also posted nine and 12 shutots in those two seasons.
She was also the first women’s soccer Tiger to earn NAIA All-American status, which she attained twice.
Following graduation from Georgetown, Kristin began teaching and earned her masters degree in reading and literacy, education specialist degree in educational leadership and principal and administrator license.
Kristin met her husband Brandon Wilson at Georgetown. The couple has three children, Ellie (17), Kaden (15) and Dakota (8).

JIM BOYD
Jim was a 1950 graduate of Georgetown College. In his four years as a Tiger, he was a four-year football letterman, which had restarted following World War II.
Following graduation, he briefly taught and coached at Whitesburg High School before entering the military and serving a year in Korea during the Korean Conflict.
Upon his return, he enrolled at University of Kentucky to earn his master’s degree. He and his wife Martha Anne Holbrook Boyd moved to Anderson County, where Jim taught and coached. Later he served as ACHS principal. He started also FCA for the Bearcats and served as huddle leader.
Jim’s next roll was one of the leading sales representatives for Holt, Rinehart and Winston publishing company. He won numerous awards and honors during his time there.
He took time to serve on Georgetown College Board of Trustees and was a 2004 Milton “Shorty” Price Service Award recipient at the Georgetown
College Athletic Hall of Fame banquet.
“Jim was a true gentleman, a man of good character, a Christian, and a great husband and father,” said Al Blevins. “Jim was passionate about life, work, family and especially his alma mater – Georgetown College.
“Jim was always willing to invest his time, talents and gifts to Georgetown College. He served on several committees and certainly distinguished
himself as being a part of the one of the founding members of the
Georgetown College Hall of Fame committee.”

1988 VOLLEYBALL TEAM
The 1988 Georgetown College volleyball team succeeded beyond anyone’s expectations, except its own, compiling a 43-4 record and advancing to the program’s first NAIA National Tournament.
GC has now been to 20 national volleyball tournaments with six quarterfinal runs and one national runner up finish.
The 1988 team won six tournaments and was champions of NAIA District 32 and NAIA Bi-District 10.
The team finished tied for 12th place of 32 teams at nationals. At that time, there were over 400 NAIA volleyball programs.
This team’s unprecedented achievements grew into national respect and annual recognition for Georgetown volleyball.
“I applaud and thank this group of young women who fought so hard to make their dreams come true,” said coach Donna Hawkins. “They showed those following them what Georgetown volleyball could be.”
Many individual honors have followed this team.
Three members have been inducted into The Georgetown College Athletic Hall of Fame. Two are honored National Scholar Athletes. Three are NAIA All District. Two are NAIA All-American athletes.
The team wants to especially remember one of the top volleyball players in the nation who passed away in 2016 after the a heroic fight with cancer — team member, Nancy Hulsmeyer Hellman, Georgetown’s NAIA First-Team All-American, a most humble and elite athlete.
This team has continued to carry Georgetown College in their hearts, evident tonight with 13 members plus family, including both coaches and one of its line judges, in attendance tonight.
