Georgetown's Smith Fares Well in Inta Juice North-South All-Star Football Classic
Houston,
TX - Georgetown College senior quarterback Jeff Smith was 4 for
7 in the first half, including one touchdown, in the Inta Juice
North-South All-Star Classic on Saturday in Houston at the
Galena Park ISD Stadium.
Smith was one of two NAIA players invited to participate in the
classic and played as a
member
of the South Team, coached by Texas Tech Head Coach Mike Leach. His
teammates and opponents included Nebraska quarterback Zac Taylor,
Michigan State Punter Brandon Fields, East Carolina quarterback James
Pinkney and Rice University’s Quentin Smith (RB) and Marcus Rucker (LB).
The other NAIA invitee was linebacker Adam Paulson of the 2006 National
Champions, University of Sioux Falls.
The Inta Juice North-South All-Star Classic is a new college football postseason all-star game. It was broadcasted on ESPN 2 and will be shown again on Sunday at noon on ESPN U.
