Tiger Basketball Signs Berry (12-21-07)

Georgetown College Head Basketball Coach Happy Osborne received an early Christmas present in the signing of transfer Zach Berry this week.

Berry, a 6-1 point guard from Louisville, played three semesters at Kennesaw State University in Georgia following a successful high school career at Trinity High School where he helped lead Shamrocks to a Sweet 16 appearance during his junior year.

The 4.0 student will have two full years of eligibility remaining beginning in Fall of 2008 and will join high school teammates Bret and Kyle Saxton and three others from Louisville on the Tiger roster. "To have six highly-skilled players from the biggest city in our state is a great feat," said Osborne. "We heavily recruited Zach as a high school player two years ago and are thrilled to
have him join us at Georgetown."
