Renfro Named NAIA Region XI Softball Player of the Week

Kara Renfro of Georgetown College (Ky.) and Brittany Caldwell of Freed-Hardeman (Tn.) have been named the NAIA Region XI Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 24, 2007.

Renfro, a 5’6 junior from Paint Lick, Kentucky, had 14 hits in 24 plate appearances last week. She scored 12 runs and had 11 RBI’s and four stolen bases as Georgetown went 4-2 on the week.

Caldwell, a 5’8 freshman from Dickson, Tennessee recorded fourteen strikeouts over nine innings pitched last week. She allowed only three hits and no walks as Freed-Hardeman improved to 14-7 on the season.
