Pre Season Football Rankings Released

The preseason NAIA Division I Football rankings have been released and Victory Sports Network and Street & Smith have the Tigers rated 6th and 8th going into the 2007 season.

Individuals receiving preseason honors are senior defensive back Clay Hamblen and junior defensive lineman Joe Berrow who were named to the Street & Smith's All-America Team.  Junior kicker Dempsey Schlueter  and senior linebacker Gabe Guthrie were named to the Victory Sports Network's Super 72 Players.  Hamblen joined them on the Super 72 listing as well as being named one of Victory Sports Network's Super Six football players for the NAIA.  Jason Dannelly, of Victory Sports Network, noted that Hamblen is "one of the most gifted athletes in the NAIA.  As a defensive back he's dangerous to throw at."
