Volleyball's Barmore, Gronotte named MSC Players of the Week (9-11-07)

Georgetown College junior Jenna Gronotte and sophomore Amy Barmore have been named the Mid-South Conference Setter of the Week and Libero of the Week.

Gronotte played a vital role in Georgetown's 7-0 week. In 15 games, she averaged 14.33 assists, with a high of 52 during the Tigers win over Indiana Institute of Technology. The Walton, KY native also averaged 3.60 digs per game, while recording 9 blocks, 10 aces, and 11 kills as Georgetown improved to 10-1 on the year. Two of the six victories last week were against NAIA nationally-ranked teams (#24 Cedarville and Madonna University who had received votes).

Barmore also played a pivotal role in the Tigers successful week. In 20 games, Barmore was charged with only four receiving errors in 79 attempts. She recorded 29 aces and 113 digs.
