Gronotte Named NAIA National Setter of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Teresa Masava of Campbellsville (Ky.), Jenna Gronotte of Georgetown (Ky.) and Jennifer Sloan of Mountain State (W.Va.) have been selected as the NAIA Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week respectively for the week ending Sunday, September 9, 2007.

Masava, a freshman outside hitter from Nairobi, Kenya, helped Campbellsville to two wins last week. She averaged 7.0 kills and 3.83 digs during the week. Masava also recorded nine service aces in two matches including six against Brescia University on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Gronotte, a junior setter from Walton, Ky., averaged 14.33 assists and 3.6 digs in six matches for Georgetown last week. She helped the Tigers to six victories during the week and was named to the All-Tournament team at the Madonna University Tournament.

Sloan, a senior libero from Beckley, W.Va., averaged 9.17 digs in three matches for Mountain State last week. She helped the Cougars to three conference wins and an 8-3 overall record. Sloan also added five service aces in the three matches.
