Tennis Sweeps Weekly Tennis Honors (3-25-08)
Charis Gambill and Andres Escalante of Georgetown College are this week's Women's and Men's Tennis Players of the Week for the Mid-South Conference.
Gambill, a junior from Ashland, Ky., went 3-1 in both singles and doubles play last week. She led her team to victories over #10 Southern Nazarene and #25 Oklahoma Baptist. Escalante, a junior from Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, finished the week 4-1 in both singles and doubles play which included winning both matches against #23 Oklahoma Baptist. His only loss was a third set tiebreaker to #18 Webber.
