Tiger Cheerleaders Win Conference Championship; Penland Named MSC Cheerleader of the Year

The Georgetown College Cheerleaders won the Mid-South Conference Championship hosted by Pikeville College on Friday, March 7th. Second Place went to the University of the Cumberlands while Pikeville College took the third place trophy.

In addition, a portion of the Georgetown squad competed in the All Female Partner Stunt Competition and also won first place.

Individual honors went to senior Lyndsey Penland, who was named the MSC Cheerleader of the Year, and Jennifer Flygstad who joined Penland on the All-Conference Team. Kimmie Crabtree and Hilary Richardson were named Academic All-Conference. Coach Lori Beth Mays was honored as Coach of the Year.
