Georgetown College has a rich history in women's basketball. The No. 7 Tigers are in their 42nd season of competition and Saturday will take a moment to help remember so many women who helped establish the winning tradition.
GC is 687-454 in 41 years with a 60.2 winning percentage. The team has been to 13 national tournaments with three finishes in the quarterfinals and one Fab Four appearance.
"I can never thank our alumni enough," said GC coach Andrea McCloskey. "They laid the foundation for the program we now enjoy. We love to reach out and stay connected and our current players enjoy that bond of understanding what it means to play basketball here.
"We look forward to having as many join us as can and hope to have a game that reminds them why they are proud to be a part of this Tiger family."
