Georgetown College will be host of a full slate of basketball action this weekend. Saturday afternoon the nationally ranked women's and men's teams get back into conference play with a doubleheader against Shawnee State. Sunday national powerhouse prep Hargrave Military Academy will face off against Rise Academy at 3:30 pm.

The HMA Tigers are coached by former Scott County star A.W. Hamilton, who is assisted by former GC star Derrick White. White, a two-time All-MSC football Tiger, also serves as head strength and conditioning coach to the 18-0 prep academy.

Hargrave has five current NCAA Division I signees on its roster - Montrezl Harrell, Virginia Tech; Codi Miller-McIntyre and Andre Washington, Wake Forest; John Burke, University of Missouri Kansas City; and Charles Buggs, Minnesota. Rise touts alumni powers such as Laker Kobe Bryant and Piston Richard Hamilton.

Before Sunday's game, HMA will also play Saturday evening at Scott County High School, following its game with Bell County. Tip for that is roughly 8:45 pm.

"To be able to come back to Scott County as a head coach, and play in front of so many friends and family is a dream come true," Hamilton said. "The state of Kentucky loves basketball, and we are excited to come play in front of such passionate people."
