Sophomore Shaun Meyer picked up his first win of the 2012 season and Georgetown College baseball improved to 4-0. The Tigers routed host Martin Methodist 16-8.

Jason McGinnis started the day on the hill for GC, but gave way the Meyer in the third inning. EJ Murray did the damage from the plate again.

The sophomore transfer from Western Kentucky University went 3-for-3 from the plate with a homerun and five RBI. He has 10 RBI on the season and got his first long ball in the Orange & Black. He was also walked and hit by a pitch in the nine inning game.

GC's offense got going early, with 10 runs in the first three innings. They added five more in the top of the sixth and the final run came in the eighth.

Georgetown returns to action against the RedHawks (2-3) Sunday for a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 2 pm.
