Georgetown College men advance to the Mid-South Conference finals to defend its title against University of the Cumberlands.
The No. 12 Tigers (24-7) used a 32-of-36 performance from the foul line to weather Campbellsville University's three-point shooting for the 81-73 win Saturday in Frankfort.
Johonne Hamilton hit 12 of his 14 foul shots, including six
down the stretch to seal the game. Garel Craig exploded for 28 points on
9-of-12 shooting from the field to lead the way. Hamilton had 14, Maurice
Pearson finished with 12 and Aaron Morris had 11. Pearson reached 1,000 points exactly with his final basket in the semifinals.
Morris also led with seven rebounds.
GC is looking for a three-peat as tournament champions for the first-time ever.
Tip is set for 4 pm in Frankfort.
