The Georgetown College Tiger Baseball Team scored seven runs in the fifth inning to seal an 8-2 victory over Eastern Kentucky University Tuesday at Turkey Hughes Field in Richmond.

Nick Roberts pitched an impressive game, picking up the win for Georgetown. Roberts only allowed two runs on four hits in five innings of play against the Division I team.

The Tigers are now 2-0 against the Ohio Valley Conference, stomping over Morehead State University February 21st. These two wins now give Georgetown an overall record of 11-2. On their home turf, they have twice won 3-4 game series against #21 Ohio Dominican Panthers and a tough Tiffin University also out of Ohio.

Georgetown prepares this week to meet the NAIA's #3 Embry-Riddle Saturday, March 10th at the College All-Star Jamboree in Ormond Beach, FL. First pitch is slated for 1:00 p.m.

Sophomore shortstop and team captain, Bryan Bonner sees an exciting season ahead for the Tigers. "If we take one game at a time and give everything we have, every game will be fine. The sky is the limit for this team." Georgetown is certainly living up to that statement.
