Georgetown College men's and women's golf teams are currently battling for a Mid-South Conference championship playing the courses at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood.

The men will play three rounds total in the two-day tournament, first two were played Monday. GC finished in fifth for both rounds with a 656, sitting eight shots back of tournament host St. Catharine in fourth. University of the Cumberlands leads overall with a 604.

The Tigers are led by Marcus Lake's two round total of 158, tying him for 10th overall. Dylan Underwood is tied for 20th with a 165.

GC's women are in seventh after one round and will only play two total rounds. The Tigers shot a 396 Monday led by Lauren Von Ohlen's 88, tying her for 13th. Two non-conference teams - Brescia and Asbury (part of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) - are also playing and finished fourth and fifth respectively after day one.

The championship concludes Tuesday.
