Women's Soccer - Fri, Jul. 6, 2012
Georgetown College women's soccer coach Leah Crews Castleman has not been able to hold summer camps during her four years because of the presence of the Cincinnati Bengals. All of that changed when back in January the professional football organization announced its summer camp would be held in Cincinnati.
Castleman got to work and has had several camp offerings on campus this year, with her ID camp being the most crucial. Mostly high school seniors-to-be comprise the 25 players in the two day offering at East Campus.
"This is great for us and them," the veteran coach said. "We couldn't be on our field in the summer while the Bengals were here. That is something that was understandable and okay in that deal.
"However, now we have a new opportunity and this is great."
One of her former assistants, Adrian Parrish, is back to help run the camp, while several current Tigers are also on hand as staff.
