Georgetown College volleyball wrapped up nine summer
camps, seven of which were satellite sites for various schools throughout
Kentucky, this past week.
"It has been a busy, but great summer," said Tiger coach
Nick Griffin. "We worked with close to 300 athletes and after our very
successful camps on campus we received an invite to do a final satellite camp.
It's recognition of what we are doing for athletes at our camps and the staff I
have helping me run them."
At Georgetown, Griffin and his staff of current assistant
coaches, current players and former players held a junior high, high school and
elite camp. They also traveled to Bell County, Betsy Lane, Blue Grass Baptist,
Carroll County, Clark County, Jackson County and Oldham County.
Now the team has three weeks before preseason begins for
the Tigers, hoping to reclaim the Mid-South Conference tournament title and
make a run at the national tournament.
