The Mid-South Conference released its preseason polls voted on by the coaches for men's and women's cross country Friday. Top three schools were Shawnee State University, University of the Cumberlands and Georgetown College in that order in each poll.
On the men's side, the Bears picked up all 10 of the 11 first place votes - coaches cannot vote for their own team. UC picked up the final first place vote. SSU's women got eight, UC had two and GC picked up the final top nod.
Both polls continued to mirror each other somewhat with Campbellsville University, University Rio Grande, University of Virginia College at Wise, Lindsey Wilson College, Cumberland University, St. Catharine and Bluefield round out the men's standings. It is Rio, Campbellsville, Lindsey, Wise, Cumberland, Pikeville, SCC and Bluefield for the women.
