Defending national and Mid-South Conference men's soccer champion Lindsey Wilson College was picked atop the preseason poll released Friday. The Blue Raiders garnered 81 voting points, all first place selections. LWC cannot vote for itself.

Georgetown College's team is picked to finish seventh ahead of Bluefield College, St. Catharine College and University of Pikeville. The Tigers were 3-13-2 this past season with a very young and inexperienced team.

Derek Willis returns most of his leaders with seasoned goal-scorer Taylor Shaver to spark the offense. Defensively Travis Swan and John Cothran will anchor GC.

University of Rio Grande got 73 points and the final top pick for first. The RedStorm went 19-3 a year ago and finished ranked No. 5 nationally.

University of the Cumberlands, third; Campbellsville University, fourth; Cumberland University; fifth; and Shawnee State University, sixth; round out poll.
