Women's Golf - Mon, Sep. 10, 2012

Georgetown College women's golf started off the fall season with a 368 on day one of the two-day event at Cherry Blossom. Lauren Kohake, a senior from Florence, Ky., shot a team-best 87, but it was the new Mid-South Conference foe from Cumberland University that stole the day.

The Patriots shot a 300 with Katie Legge shooting a one-under par 71. All the scoring players shot in the 70s for CU.

Along with Kohake, the rest of the Tiger scorers were in the 90s - 90, 93 and 98.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with just two strokes separating Georgetown and University of Pikeville.
