Georgetown College's football team climbed the rankings one spot to No. 3 in the first regular season NAIA Coaches' Poll. The Tigers (2-0) are behind Saint Xavier (Ill.) and Marian (Ind.), both currently undefeated as well.
The largest slip in the polls was previous No. 2 Carroll College fell to No. 12 after losing back-to-back games. The Fighting Saints first loss was to NCAA Division I FCS Portland State and then to previous unranked Montana Tech - now ranked No. 20.
University of the Cumberlands, a fellow Mid-South
Conference divisional foe this year, jumped from No. 19 to No. 14. Cumberland
University slipped from No. 22 to No. 25, while Campbellsville University
slipped out of the Top 25. Lindsey Wilson College hopped in at No. 24 after
receiving votes in the preseason poll.
