Georgetown College volleyball kept its winning streak going, including a huge four-set win over No. 7 Grand View, Friday at the Holiday Inn Express.
The No. 25 Tigers (9-2, 2-0) have won eight straight after upending Grand View and tournament host Olivet Nazarene in four sets each. GC started the day with a 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-21 win over GV. Then beat ONU 23-25, 25-18, 25-19, 26-24 behind a monstrous effort from sophomore Rachel Eubanks. The outside hitter had a career-high 25 kills in that match alone, hitting .422 for the four sets.
"It was a great day," said Tiger coach Nick Griffin. "That's probably understating it, but when you beat the seventh-ranked team and to be able to turn around later that evening and play again. Our team showed a lot of resolve and grit to take both our matches Friday. Now we have to continue that Saturday."
Fellow sophomore Allyson Wilbourn went 11-of-20 for kills and total attempts with no errors to hit .550 for the match.
