Georgetown College men's soccer tangled with another winless team in hopes of coming up with its first victory and more important a Mid-South Conference one.

However, Shawnee State University (1-6) scored during the second half and held on for the 1-0 win at iHigh Field. The Tigers (0-6) found an offensive power following the goal, but could not find the back of the net.

"When it rains it pours sometimes," said GC coach Derek Willis. "I know we are right there on the cusp of getting off this streak, but until we do it will be tough every game. We picked up our offensive intensity after Shawnee scored, but it was too late then. The Bears were able to really focus on defending and turning us away."

Georgetown returns to action 8 pm Wednesday at Pikeville.
