Rachel Eubanks tore it up this past week, earning her first-ever Mid-South Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors. The sophomore had 71 kills, including a career-match high 25, in five games. She hit .384 for the week.

The Holiday Inn Express tournament started with an upswing for Eubanks with 16 kills on 34 attempts against the No. 7 team in the country. The Cincinnati, OH native tallied her match-high that evening in a battle with Olivet Nazarene. Her week started with a 7-of-9 performance with zero errors against MSC foe Cumberland University.

"She had a phenomenal week," said GC coach Nick Griffin. "We had some people listening to the Olivet call of our match and the broadcasters kept saying stop setting her. I had to laugh a little on that. She just had a great week."

Eubanks is 10th in the conference in hitting percentage (.265) and seventh in total kills (130).

This is the first player of the week honor for the volleyball team and only the second week the award has been given out by the league.
