Tiger Nation rise up. It is Homecoming weekend, which means days filled with excitement and reminiscing. Saturday is filled with reunions, dedications and athletic events. Your No. 3 football Tigers will kickoff at 1:30 pm against Kentucky Christian University.
The Knights (2-1) gave the Tigers (3-0) a game in Grayson this past year, but with the Homecoming crowd on hand GC is looking to improve to 4-0. Georgetown is on a 12-game home and a 20-game regular season winning streaks. Let's keep this going and cheer on our football Tigers.
The international game of futbol will follow the GC game as the Tiger men's and women's soccer teams host University of Rio Grande.
Georgetown's women will kickoff at 6 pm and be followed by the men's game. URG is always an interesting opponent on both sides. The women's team plays a unique style and comes down to which team enforces their style more. The RedStorm men's team is nationally ranked and right there with perennial power Lindsey Wilson for the top spot in the Mid-South Conference every year.
Just because Saturday's festivities are over does not mean the fun is done. Stay for Sunday and catch the first-ever GC baseball vs. GC softball in a fast pitch softball game at the Tiger Softball Complex. Game starts at 2 pm.
