Georgetown College women's soccer handed its fourth straight opponent a shutout as the Tigers beat University of Rio Grande 1-0 Saturday in Georgetown.

"I got on them at halftime," said GC coach Leah Crews Castleman. "We were a little lethargic early, but we really picked up the tempo in the second half. I was pleased with how they responded and we took over the game."

The Tigers out-shot the RedStorm 12-3 in the final 45 minutes and sophomore Bea Cameron found the back of the net for the third time this season to secure the victory. She as well as teammates Alessandra Jansen, Alex Harbowy and Sarah Hencke all had opportunities.

"It would have been nice to find the back of the net more, but keeping possession and pushing the pressure was what I wanted to see," Castleman said.

GC returns to action 6 pm Wednesday at Campbellsville University.
