Georgetown College volleyball (14-2, 5-0 Mid-South Conference) extended its winning streak to 13
matches Friday night in on the opening day of the MSC
Crossover Tournament. It is a streak that dates back to Aug. 25.
"At
times it wasn't pretty, but against a really defensive minded opponent
like Shawnee (State University), pretty isn't always an option," said
Tiger coach Nick Griffin.
The No. 16 ranked team took care of business in straight sets, 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.
GC returns to action 11 am Saturday against University of Rio Grande and 3:30 pm against University of Pikeville. St. Catharine and Cumberland University are also on campus this weekend playing multiple matches at the neutral site.
