Georgetown College cheerleaders helped the Tigers celebrate the 150 wins for Bill Cronin, Bruce Owens, Craig Mullins, Steve Hill and Marty Park. The fearsome-five have been strolling the sidelines at Georgetown for 16 seasons. The first four as coaches, while Park came to Georgetown the fall of 1997 and played those first four seasons before being coming into the coaching ranks for the next 12.
"It is a great accomplishment and a great group of guys to share this with," said head coach Bill Cronin. "We want to thank the fans for all the excitement and the help to celebrate the achievement and look forward to winning another 150 here."
Cronin's all-time record at Georgetown is 151-35 after a win this past weekend at Campbellsville. He has a winning percentage of 81.2, placing him among the top in active coaches of that category.
Two other streaks will be on the line this weekend when No. 9 University of the Cumberlands comes to town. The Patriots will be looking to halt a 14-game, home win-streak and a 23-game, regular season, win-streak.
