Women's Soccer - Wed, Oct. 24, 2012
Georgetown College women's soccer team took a huge Mid-South Conference win Wednesday against St. Catharine College. The Tigers (8-5, 6-3 MSC) handed the Patriots (10-5-2, 5-4) a 1-0 loss and moved into fourth place in the league standings.

After almost a stalemate the entire first half, Bea Cameron capitalized off a solid header from Caitlin Williams. The senior put the header on frame and forced Maggie Grieser to block the ball down for the save. Cameron was there to pick up the rebound and push a shot through the keepers legs for all the offense the Tigers needed on senior night.

GC honored Williams, Alex Harbowy, Anna Ayers, Alessandra Jansen and Megan Melanson in their final home game of the regular season, but the win hopefully secures a hosting situation for the team in postseason. As it stands, Georgetown would host St. Catharine back at Toyota Stadium on iHigh Field the first round of the conference tournament.

The Tigers make a trip this weekend to Bryan College before finishing the season at Cedarville on Oct. 30.
