Caraline Maher's 57 kills, 19 digs and 18 blocks against
stiff competition helped to garner her second every Mid-South Conference
Volleyball Player of the Week honor and first of this season.
"Caraline had a great weekend in the Boneyard Brawl,"
said Tiger coach Nick Griffin. "Against fifth ranked Lee University, she had 15
kills and six digs."
For the week, the sophomore averaged 3.17 kills per set
on a .325 attacking percentage. Georgetown College improved to 29-3, dropping
only one match in a week filled with nationally recognized teams.
Indiana Tech ended GC's match win streak at 25, but the
team bounced back for wins over Lee, Freed-Hardeman and Point Park, which is
receiving votes. The Cincinnati native had double-digit kills in those final two
matches on Saturday morning; giving her three matches with 10-plus.
She earned all-tournament honors for her efforts along
with sophomore teammate Allyson Wilbourn.
Maher ranks third in the MSC in hitting percentage (.362)
and sixth in kills (304). Nationally, her hitting percentage is 18th best in
