Chad Richie and Tyler Arthur
had solid seasons this past
year as pitchers for Georgetown College's baseball team.
Arthur in his freshman season posts a 10-1 record in 14
games, had a 1.68 ERA over 91 innings and was ranked nationally in the Top 25
of total runs allowed and wins. He was the lone freshman to earn first or
second team honors in the postseason All-American standings. The Lexington
native was also Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year and Pitcher of the
Richie was one of the most dominate closers in the NAIA
this past season. As a junior, he notched a national eighth best 12 saves and had
a 6-1 record when coming into non-save situations. He finished with a 0.72 ERA
in 37 and 2/3 innings with 33 strikeouts.
Both were second team All-Americans this past spring and
start the season on the first-team list. They are the only two teammates to
earn the top honors. Only one other MSC player was on the list, Leandro Perez
from Lindsey Wilson College.
