Georgetown College women's soccer players Lauren Brooks and Caitlin Williams received another honor Friday morning for their work in the classroom. The pair were named to the 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar-Athletes. In order to be recognized, the individuals must be a junior or higher and maintain a 3.5 grade point average. The NAIA had 492 athletes make the team this year, 18 from the Mid-South Conference.

Williams, a double-major, carries a 3.97 GPA. The fifth-year senior from Murray, Ky. has earned this honor the previous two seasons as well and been Academic All-Conference four straight years.

Brooks is earning this for the first time, as you are not eligible until your junior year. The Owensboro, Ky. native maintains a 3.75 and has twice been Academic All-Conference.
