Sophomores Rachel Eubanks and Caraline Maher continued to be honored for their efforts in the 2012 volleyball season. Both were named to the NAIA All-American teams Monday afternoon as released by the main office in Kansas City, Mo.
Eubanks had a team-high 436 kills this year with a .281
hitting percentage. The Cincinnati, Ohio native was named to the NAIA
All-American third team.
She added 11 solo blocks and 39 block assists in her second year at Georgetown.
Maher had a team-high .348 hitting percentage (405 kills on 836 attempts). She was tied for second with Emily Weber for team solo blocks with 25 and a team-high 92 block assists.
The Cincinnati, Ohio native was named to the honorable mention All-American team.
"It is always nice to be rewarded for the hardwork," said GC Nick Griffin. "These come when you have success. It was a great team effort this year and we are seeing the fruits of our labors."
This is the first All-American honorees since Kyla Welch in 2010.
