Monty Wilson exploded for nearly half of Georgetown College men's basketball points in the first half as the Tigers cruised over Mid-South Conference foe University of Virginia College at Wise.
The No. 22 Tigers (18-5, 10-5) took it to the Cavaliers (10-9, 6-8), which may be the final time these two teams meet in a regular season matchup for a while. Georgetown nearly doubled its 24-point advantage at the half in the 102-62 win.
Vic Moses returned for a full game after battling illnesses. The senior had 17 points and seven rebounds in 28 minutes of action. Wilson finished with 23 points, two shy of his career high. Garel Craig poured in 21. Deondre McWhorter had 16 and Allan Thomas finished with 10 for the Tigers.
Charles George led Wise with 13 points and Darius Smith and Deon Boyce both contributed 12.
Georgetown hits the road for its final non-conference game at Life University Tuesday before returning home for a 4 pm game against Bluefield College.
