Owensboro, Ky. - Georgetown College dropped the first of three exhibition games with a 85-72 to Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday night.

Both teams shot an identical 42.9 percent from the field on the night but the difference was from the free throw line and three-point range, where Kentucky Wesleyan was 6 of 19 while the Tigers hit 3 of 9.

"I thought we were soft, very, very soft ," said head coach Happy Osborne. "I think we have lived in last year's 35-1 and those guys are gone."

True freshman Vic Moses started and led Georgetown in scoring with 18 points. Senior Demetrius Guions followed with 15 points and nine rebounds.

"Vic's stats look good but are nothing close to the potential that he has," said Osborne."He's a great talent with tremendous hands and a soft touch but has to be more physical."

The disappointed Osborne must regroup his team to take on a tough University of Louisville squad in just one day. "We have to get tougher or get embarrassed."

Tipoff in Freedom Hall is scheduled for 1:30 pm on Saturday.
