Men's Basketball - Fri, Mar. 1, 2013

Georgetown College men's basketball took the rubber match against University of the Cumberlands, 83-74, in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament in Frankfort. The Tigers (23-7) took control midway through the first half and withstood several runs to advance into the semifinals against University of Pikeville 8 pm Saturday.

Vic Moses led with a double-double, 18 points and 10 rebounds. With his final basket, similar to how he reached his 1,000th point, he tallied 2,000 in his GC career. He is just the 10th Tiger to ever accomplish this feat.

Antonio Bumpus carried the load for the Patriots (19-12) with 29 points, but Georgetown held down the other scorers for the most part to stay alive. James Archie had 15, Ernie McCoy 11 and Benito Santigo, Jr. scored 10.
