Georgetown College men's basketball lost to University of Pikeville Saturday in the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference tournament. The Tigers (23-8) battled but did not have an answer for the Bears (26-5) Elisha Justice. The transfer from University of Louisville scored no points in the two regular season games, but went off for 18 in Frankfort. UPike took the win 91-76.

Monty Wilson continued to show he likes to shoot against the Bears, scoring a game-high 27 points. Vic Moses chipped in with 21 points, giving him 2,021 for his career thus far at Georgetown. Jamar Brisco passed UPike with 20 points. Trevor Setty had 19, Greg Magee 11 and Terrance Saintil 10.

The men's team now waits to learn its national tournament fate. Several conference tournaments are still on going. Final rankings should come out sometime Tuesday and seeding, opponent, game time and game date will hopefully be known Wednesday.
