The NAIA national office announced Tuesday afternoon that Georgetown College baseball player Justin Moore is Player of the Week.
A native of Los Angeles, Calif., Moore led Georgetown to four wins this past week, including a double-header sweep of Tennessee Wesleyan College, defending national champions.
The junior outfielder hit .533 (8-of-15) with two doubles, two triples, six RBI, six runs scored, five walks and a stolen base.
Moore recorded three multi-hit games, including 3-for-4 with two RBI effort in the Tigers' 5-4 game-one victory against the No. 1 Bulldogs. In the second game, he added another two hits, including an RBI double in the top of the second to spark a four-run inning for Georgetown.
He continued his hot week with two hits, two runs and three walks in game one of the three game series against University of the Cumberlands. Moore followed that with an RBI triple to tie game two and start a five-run inning to put that game away. He scored the winning run in that game.
On the season, Moore is fifth on the team with a .282 batting average.
