Georgetown College baseball jumped out to a quick two-run lead, but big second and fourth innings for Union College were too large to overcome. The Tigers (25-14) suffered an 18-8 loss in Barbourville, Ky. Tuesday afternoon.

GC scored four in its first at-bat and the Bulldogs responded by getting two back. Then after shutting the Tigers down, UC (24-16) managed five runs in the bottom of the second and six more in the fourth for a 13-4 lead.

Georgetown scored two in the fifth and seventh, but Union's five runs over the sixth and seventh innings ended the game.

Ryan Serrato continued his solid hitting; going 2-for-3 with two runs scored. David Higuera was 2-for-5 with one RBI. No other Tiger had more than one hit.

GC used six pitchers on the day.

The Tigers return to action in a three-game Mid-South Conference series starting Friday at Bluefield College.
