Georgetown College women's golf hosted its annual Bluegrass Spring Classic at Cherry Blossom Monday and Tuesday. The Tigers roared out of the gate with some of their best rounds of the season, but stumbled a bit on day two to finish eighth.

GC finished with a two-day total of 739, just a stroke back from University of Pikeville and 20 behind Sewanee, which finished seventh and sixth respectively.

Katie Jones led the way with a 179, putting her in 28th place. Lauren Kohake and Deanna Johnson tied for 29th with 180s. Haley Hart rounded out the scoring for day two with a 202 for the tournament.

Lauren Von Ohlen had a 91 on day one, but unfortunately had to withdraw on day two.

Day one, the Tigers were in sixth place just six strokes back from Asbury University.
