It was a battle of Tigers Wednesday night as Campbellsville University came to town. CU netted two first half goals in the women's game and never looked back. Georgetown fell to 2-3-1 and 1-2 in the Mid-South Conference. Campbellsville improved to 4-3 and 1-2.
"We had opportunities early, but they took that arching shot that put us behind the eight ball," said GC coach Leah Crews Castleman. "This needs to be a learning opportunity."
In the 16th minute, Chelsea Gill scored unassisted and Mhairi Fyfe finished off a through ball from Sam Sandidge.
The Tigers return to action Oct. 2 hosting Shawnee State.
