Not only has the women's soccer team advanced to the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference tournament for the 14th straight season, but have also put at least four on the MSC All-Academic team for the 13th straight season.

Lauren Brooks, Sarah Hencke, Jackie Powell and Morgan Zimmer join the list of students who have earned a 3.25 or higher and are sophomores or above.

"This is as important to us as what happens on the field," said GC coach Leah Crews Castleman, who was MSC All-Academic the three years she was eligible. "Doing the work in the classroom comes first and we have young woman who are dedicated to being successful in all facets of the student-athlete experience."

GC had just 14 sophomores or higher so managed to get nearly 30 percent of the eligible players recognized. Powell was one of only six MSC athletes to maintain a perfect 4.0
