Women's Basketball - Fri, Dec. 13, 2013

Georgetown College women's basketball gets a rematch with the only team to beat them thus far. The No. 5 Tigers (4-1) battle No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan (9-1) on a neutral court Friday evening.

Tip is set for 6 pm in Portsmouth, Ohio for the Shawnee State Classic.

The Wildcats, defending NAIA Division II national champions, handed GC a 62-49 setback on Nov. 12 in Marion, Ind. In the most recent coaches' poll, the first put out in the regular season, both teams slipped. IWU slipped two spots and GC one.

The Tigers tallied a pair of wins since the 13-point loss, while Wesleyan is coming off its first loss of the season.

"This is always a great tournament," said GC coach Andrea McCloskey. "The rematch with Indiana Wesleyan should be a good challenge for us and tomorrow afternoon we will play Grace."

Georgetown will have less than 24 hours to turn around for a noon tip Saturday. The Lancers (5-6) will play Shawnee State in the night cap Friday.
