Monty Wilson hit a pair of free throws to tie the game late in the first half, then on the next possession gave the Tigers the lead for good. No. 18 Georgetown College men's basketball took care of business Saturday in an 89-73 win over Bluefield College in Mid-South Conference action.

The Tigers (14-4, 5-2) had five players tally double-figures. GC's lead got comfortable in the first five minutes of the second half as a 15-8 run put the advantage in to double figures to stay. Bluefield got the game within 10 and twice had an opportunity to get it in to single digits. Georgetown responded with a 12-3 run that gave the team its largest lead.

Wilson led with 24. Trenity Burdine chipped in with 15, Deondre McWhorter 13, Noah Cottrill 12 and Russ Middleton 10. McWhorter was a rebound shy of a double-double with nine. Montavious Marc led the team with 10 rebounds and Burdine was also solid on the glass with eight.

Josh Nesbit and Alex Lusby led the Rams with 14 points. Nesbit also had a game-high 13 rebounds. Andrew Wilson finished with 12 and Kearsten Marion had 10 to round out the double-digit scorers for the Rams.

Georgetown starts a four-game road sweep 9 pm Thursday against Cumberland University. GC is currently 1-3 on the road.
