Monty Wilson has been a scoring machine for the Tigers in his 54 games in Orange & Black. The senior became the 49th Georgetown College men's basketball player to tally 1,000 points this past week in a road loss to Cumberland University. He is just the eighth GC player to ever score that many in just two seasons of total play.
He is averaging 19.1 points per game and with his 32 in Sunday's win has 1,033 for his career. He currently sits 48th all-time, two points behind Ashley Olinger's 1,035.
The Illinois native leads the Mid-South Conference in scoring this season with an average of 23.9 ppg. The next closest is University of Pikeville's Bruce Reed with 17.7 ppg.
