Vic Moses, 2013 NAIA Player of the Year, earns his second British Basketball League honors for his efforts in January.
In six games, the rookie averaged 21.3 points and 13.2 rebounds per game, including an impressive 5.8 rebounds on the offensive end, while also hitting 61.2 percent from the field.
For the season, Moses averages 22.9 ppg, third highest in the league. His 61.9 percent from inside the three-point arch is second best, while his 13.7 rpg leads the league. He is third in total rebounds (205), first in total offensive rebounds (95) and second in two-point baskets made (146).
The Lexington, Ky. native is helping the Cheshire Phoenix make a run at postseason play.
He was pivotal in wins over defending champions Leicester Riders, Plymouth University Raiders, Manchester Giants and Birmingham Knights.
Also in the running for the month honor were Charles Smith, veteran on Esh Group Eagles Newcastle, and Moses' teammate Reggie Middleton, who is the driving force in the backcourt.
