Devanny King was a single rebound from a double-double and Kourtney Tyra eclipsed the 500 rebound mark as Georgetown College women's basketball got back to its winning ways Thursday. The No. 8 Tigers (16-4, 10-2) took care of business at home against St. Catharine (3-15, 1-11) 69-54. King had 20 points and nine rebounds on 7-of-9 shooting with 6-of-9 from the foul line.
Tyra also had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, she just needed seven boards coming into the game to tally 500 in her career. With her second rebound in the second half she had that and kept tally.
Andrea Howard had 12 points to round out the double figure scoring for GC.
Machera Calhoun had 16 and Heather Sandlin 15 to lead the Patriots.
Next up for Georgetown is the NAIA National Game of the Week 2 pm Saturday against No. 5 Campbellsville University. It is also the Think Pink Play4Cure game. Dress in pink and cheer on the Orange & Black.
