Georgetown College football has set its schedule for the 2014 season. Along with the full slate of Mid-South Conference East and West action, the Tigers have added Lindenwood University to the mix.
The Orange & Black open at home for the second straight season, hosting Bethel University at 1:30 pm on Sept. 13. The Wildcats ended GC's season in 2012, handing the home team its first every loss on iHigh.com Field.
The Tigers follow that up with the trip to Lindenwood, an NCAA Division II opponent. These two teams last squared off in 2007. The Lions won 58-30, the only time they have ever beaten Georgetown. GC leads the series 2-1.
The Tigers play three of the next four games at home, taking on Kentucky Christian University (divisional opponent), Faulkner University and University of the Cumberlands (divisional opponent). Before playing UC, GC will travel to Campbellsville University for a showdown with the other MSC Tigers.
Cumberlands will be the Tigers Homecoming opponent on Oct. 18.
The final month of the regular season, Georgetown spends three of the four weeks on the road. It travels to University of Pikeville (divisional opponent) and Bluefield College (divisional opponent) before returning home on Nov. 8 to face Union College (divisional opponent) on Senior Day. The Tigers finish with a trip to Columbia, Ky. for a regular-season finale against Lindsey Wilson College.
