Winter storm Titan steals four games from the Georgetown College softball team. The Tigers (7-3) have been forced to cancel doubleheaders with Indiana University Southeast as well as Union College Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
"This storm moved in, and we just can't get the field ready in time nor will the temperatures be safe enough to have everyone outside for these," said GC coach Thomas Thornton.
This is the second set of games with IUSE to have been nixed this season. The Tiger were to travel to Indiana for a doubleheader back in early February. The doubleheader with Union was previously moved from its original date, but GC did go to Barbourville for a pair of wins on Feb. 16.
Georgetown is set to play host to University of Rio Grande Saturday in a twin bill. First pitch is set for noon at the Tiger Softball Complex.
