Georgetown College women's basketball comes into postseason play Friday sitting second in the conference and ranked ninth nationally. The Mid-South Conference announced its yearly accolades Thursday morning and three Tigers were on the all-conference teams and five earned all-academic honors.

Kourtney Tyra for the fourth time has been named to the MSC All-Conference First team. She is joined by Andrea Howard, making her second appearance on first team and third to be listed as all-conference. Lizza Jonas for the second straight season is listed as second team.

The senior trio all made the all-academic list and were joined by junior Devanny King and sophomore Jessica Foster. For Howard and Jonas, it is the third time to be recognized by the league for their efforts in the classroom. It is King's and Tyra's second time and Foster's first. Athletes must be of sophomore or high standing with a 3.25 grade point average or better.

The Tigers begin play 7 pm Friday. An audio broadcast of the game can be followed here through GC's iHigh site, while video can be followed here through host Cumberland University.
